A Phase I Trial to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of Addition of Novel Anti-leukemia Agents to Flu/Mel RIC Transplant for High-risk Myeloid Malignancies

What's the purpose of the trial?

The purpose of this study is to determine the safety of adding Decitabine and Venetoclax to patients undergoing reduced intensity allogenic transplantation for treatment of hematologic malignances with Fludarabine and Melphalan.

  • Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor is a glycoprotein used to stimulate the bone marrow to help with granulocyte and stem cell production.
  • Decitabine is a type of chemotherapy called a hypomethylating agent that interferes with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body. 
  • Venetoclax is a BCL-2 inhibitor that may work by blocking the action of the BCL-2 protein on some cancer cells which can lead to cell death.
