Alpha/Beta TCD HCT in Patients With Inherited BMF Disorders

What's the purpose of the trial?

This is a phase II trial of T cell receptor alpha/beta depletion (α/β TCD) hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) transplantation in patients with Fanconi anemia (FA) to eliminate the need for routine graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) immune suppression leading to earlier immune recovery and potentially a reduction in the risk of severe infections after transplantation.

  • Methylprednisolone is a corticosteroid that prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation, and is given in conjunction with some cancer treatments.
  • Rituximab is an anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody currently approved for use in B-Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, and several autoimmune conditions.
  • Total Body Irradiation is radiation therapy that is given to your entire body.
